Every estimate, quote and answer from the manager is built from these numbers. A change here is a permanent default for future estimates; to adjust one project only, change it on that estimate.
Starting figures come from Sample starting rates, invented for this showcase. Placeholders are marked. Change anything and it is saved as yours.
Travel crew rate blank = travel time at the labour rate. Crews are planned 5 days a week.
Square feet installed per person-hour, all-in, as your completed jobs report it. Finished jobs adjust these; your number is the starting point.
18 % markup on the subtotal is the same money as a 15.3 % margin on the price. Your sheets' method: contingency, overhead and profit on the total cost, labour included. The second price shows on the estimate beside the main one, as your sheets show a 12 % line.
Breaking sub-girts and flashings in your shop before the crew starts. Leave the shop rate at 0 to price no shop work.
Square feet of your own scope. The Bids screen flags each bid against these before you open the plans; the build-up on the drawings still decides.
IMP installs fast, so an all-IMP job gets its own limit. Anything bigger is flagged “too big unless you say so”.
Insulation and plywood are bought by the whole square foot: the area plus waste, rounded up, as your sheets do.
What a new estimate starts from. Change any of them on the estimate for that job only.
